Job Description:
As a Bosch intern you will benefit from on the job training in a supportive working environment where you can develop your personal and professional skills.
Automotive and Motorsport
- General engineering support; this could include supporting engineers in various stages of calibration development, flashing units or supporting with the creation of initial calibration strategies.
- General vehicle administration, such as daily status update of vehicles.
- Customer interaction and support, including addressing technical questions from customers.
- Basic mechanical tasks and vehicle maintenance.
- Preparing vehicles for testing.
- Creation of data analysis tools.
- Relevant engineering degree: mechanical/automotive/motorsport is preferred.
- Fundamental understanding of internal combustion engines and vehicle functions is essential.
- Visual Basic/MatLab/coding experience desirable.
Software and Test (also available in Basildon, Essex)
- Supporting vehicle test team with daily task tracking and reporting.
- Supporting development of test automation tools.
- Supporting development of test scripts and test execution on HiL test set up
- Support test engineers in the team in technical tasks such as measurement data analysis, test planning, project review.
- Computer Science or Electronics degree is advantageous.
- Results orientated; with a desire to exceed targets.
- Proactive and selfmotivated.
- Builds high quality and lasting relationships with all stakeholders; makes people feel appreciated even in difficult situations.
- Deals constructively with conflict; resilient.
- Uses analytical skills in order to solve complex tasks and takes sound decisions.
Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications/Skills:
- Studying for an undergraduate or Masters degree and required to take a placement as part of your course.
- Knowledge/interest in automotive vehicles or motorsport.
- Knowledge of coding/programming.
- Ability to organise own work and work autonomously.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Proficient in MS office
- Full driving licence
This is a 12 month internship beginning in June, July or August 2023.
This position is open to undergraduates or Masters students who are required to partake in a work placement as part of their course.
You must have the right to live and work in the UK when you start your placement and for the full duration of your placement. Please note your placement must be directly relevant to your course to comply with visa requirements.
