Pay Rate to Intermediary:
£534.25 per day

Spinwell is recruiting for a Technical Lead for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE TECHNICAL LEAD
An experienced software engineer with solid commercial AWS development experience is required to provide hands-on technical leadership to an agile development team within client's Other Registers domain to lead the design and development of two new registers, and to act as a conduit between the development team and the Architecture Steering Group, helping to define and refine best practices, standards, and architectural principles


SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE TECHNICAL LEAD
Significant and demonstrable commercial experience in the following areas:

  • Hands-on delivery of microservice or serverless solutions.
  • Technically leading a highperforming, crossfunctional development team.
  • Designing, gaining consensus, and implementing technical solutions for software development projects
  • Formal XP engineering practices
  • Developing within Digital First or GDS quality standards
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders, understanding context and requirements, from diverse areas of a business including Product Management, Service Design, and Operations
  • Introduction of new or improved processes in development environments
  • Developing solutions using humancentred, researchdriven, inclusive design practices
  • Designing and implementing solutions using service and eventbased architectures
  • Using testing tools for unit testing, including system test automation frameworks
  • Cloud monitoring, telemetry, intelligence tools and processes, including Grafana.
  • Using written, verbal, and visual communication to explain complex topics concisely to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Incrementally replacing enterprise legacy systems
  • Working in Agile delivery models
  • Defining infrastructure as code
  • Coaching and mentoring other developers and team members

Significant commercial experience with the following technology:

  • CDK
  • Serverless (Lambda)

  • MongoDB Atlas
  • Typescript/JavaScript
  • Modern JavaScript UI frameworks, including React.
