Communications Operator - Southampton (Temp Vacancy)

Pay Rate:
£11.11ph**
Full-Time (37 hours)

Job Purpose:

To provide a telephone switchboard service on behalf of the Constabulary.


Accountabilities:


  • To action routine police/public telephone calls, identifying suitable departments/personnel that can assist with their enquiries.
  • To maintain effective liaison with internal and external departments and agencies utilising the full range of communication methods available.
  • To deal with confidential material in a responsible manner.
  • To make full and effective use of local computer systems.
  • To maintain efficient and effective office systems and records.
  • To keep up to date with changes in legislation and local procedures and policies that affect working practises
  • To give regular and effective service.
