The Respiratory Medicine department is looking for a Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Network Coordinator to work at Birmingham Children's Hospital.

The post is full-time, and the post holder will be based on site in the CF Nurses office providing essential support to the specialist CF multi disciplinary team, whilst also working with the local/regional CF Shared Care Centres within the Network.


The post holder will be working alongside the Respiratory Medicine Operational Manager and colleagues from across the network to help deliver the actions, milestones, and objectives for the CF Midlands network.


This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who relishes a challenge and is keen to use their own initiative, whilst working in an extremely busy department.

This role is very demanding, and applicants will be self-motivated and have strong organisational and analytical skills.

You must enjoy working within a busy clinical setting and have the ability to analyse business performance information, work critically with specification documents and highlight any performance issues to a wide variety of audiences in a timely and appropriate manner.

This role includes regional travel visiting the Shared Care Centres.


The challenge is to deliver a network that is sustainable with a clear governance structure and service development plan; along with supporting key initiatives within the network specifically around areas within CF.

To work with the Operational Manager to support, coordinate and develop the Clinical Networks to achieve key development objectives.

To work with Clinical Leads and Opeartional Manager to define development plans, and outline key objectives and milestones


To provide accurate, timely and useable regional data, consolidate information from various sources and provide regular, in-depth analysis of this data to a wide audience.

Facilitate where appropriate joint working across the networks with all appropriate providers.

Provide day to day administrative support to the clinical team onsite.
