    Exciting Opportunity: Health Promotion Specialist

    Are you experienced, skilled, and passionate about making a meaningful difference? We're seeking a Health Promotion Specialist to join our vibrant team.

    As the Health Promotion Specialist, you will support the team and stakeholders by providing training and health promotion awareness campaigns. Additionally, you will be able to apply your digital design skills in order to lead an increase in city-wide awareness of treatment offer campaign, advertisement of targeted campaigns and expansion of training to partner agency professionals as well as leading on digital and social media campaigns across the city.

    Our Brighton service thrives as a dynamic and collaborative team, featuring dedicated staff including a service manager, consultant psychiatrists, medical professionals, caring nurses, attentive healthcare assistants, empathetic recovery staff, dedicated volunteers, efficient administrators, and supportive peer mentors.

    Location : Brighton

    Hours : Full-time (37.5 per week)

    Salary : £27, £31, dependent on experience)

    Please note that we will be conducting competency interviews on Thursday 23rd May with successful candidates being offered a value-based interview on Friday 25th May.

    Responsibilities

    The Role:

    As a Health Promotion Specialist, you will be making a significant impact on the lives of those who use our services by:
  • Delivering integration of Health Promotion throughout the service and local community.
  • Taking the lead in enhancing citywide awareness of treatment offer through targeted campaigns, advertising, and expanding training opportunities for professionals in partner agencies.
  • Participate in Public Health initiatives and campaigns through active involvement in all relevant strategic and implementation groups, fostering inclusivity.
  • Take the lead in orchestrating health awareness campaigns and contribute to the continuation of ongoing campaigns within the area.
  • Collaborate closely with the service Naloxone Coordinator to enhance Naloxone awareness via targeted campaigns.
  • About You:

    To thrive in this role, we're looking for someone who:

  • Understanding of current developments and priorities in substance misuse policy at a national and local level.
  • Understanding of current substance misuse prevention and harm minimisation issues.
  • Good organisational and administrative skills.
  • Experience and ability to develop, implement, maintain and evaluate effective Health Promotion strategies and programmes related to stakeholder that work with drug and alcohol use disorders.
  • Excellent training and presentation skills supported by at least 2 years' experience.
  • Ability to work independently, but also to contribute to team working.
