Our Sussex based client have an opening for a
Claims Specialist/Handler working with in their insurance team.


It will involve supporting an established team of Senior Insurance Managers and the main purpose of this role is manage and support the combined business with Public Liability claims.

This will cover the full process of Injury and complex property claims within a construction environment.

Prior experience managing a caseload of Public Liability claims, injury and property (ideally in a construction environment).

Prior experience of the Highways Act would also be useful.


Qualifications:


  • CII or CILA qualifications preferred although prior experience and proven track record in Claims Handling is most important.

Duties to include:


  • Work with divisional claims coordinators and business managers to ensure the thorough investigation, recording of evidence and defence of claims
  • Providing adhoc support and guidance to claims coordinators within each business division
  • Liaison with key suppliers Loss Adjuster, Insurers and Solicitor panels as required to reach a claims settlement
  • Liaison with claimants or their representative to resolve within deductible insurance claims
  • Manage pre and post litigated cases through the small, fast and multi track court process
  • General administration of claims records and files

About you:


  • Ambitious and have a passion for providing an exceptional customer service
  • Claims handling experience either deskor field based experience
  • Industry Qualifications, working towards or have a willingness to work towards
  • Detailed knowledge of pre and post litigation processes
  • Experienced in managing Public Liability claim for property damage and personal injury
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
