We are currently recruiting for a Stock Controller based in Belfast International Airport to join our business.

This role will be responsible for the stock control onboard Irish Ferry Ships based out of Dublin, Rosslare and Dover Ports.

We currently have 8 stores upon Irish Ferry ships between Dublin, Rosslare and Dover.

Delivering a well-presented store, with great availability is a key part of a customer's overall shopping experience. As a Stock Controller you will work to maintain store standards around stock control, availability and stock holding.


The role will require travel to Dublin on a fortnightly basis for one overnight stay to facilitate visits to the stores onboard.


Job purpose:

As a Stock Controller you will oversee the stock integrity of the store. Investigate stock issues, including negative stocks, unknown sales and all stock reports. Ensure new products are available for launch dates. Keep stock holding within budgets. Report any issues and findings to the team and look for swift resolution of issues which arise.


Key responsibilities:


  • To maintain assortments across all categories. Keep up to date with discontinued lines, and new lines (removing/setting up thresholds accordingly on SAP)
  • Keep stock value within budget, working with GM on areas we can look to improve on.
  • Review the forecasting, stock bias, stock at risk reports, with the Supervisor/DM/GM.
  • Monitor and communicate negative stock report and follow up with Managers.
  • Forecasting basic and promotional stocks
  • And any other stock related tasks which occur.
  • General adhoc administrative duties

Person Specification:


  • Ability to work in a team and individually
  • Follow the chain of request from Supervisors/ Managers
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Microsoft Office Suite intermediate level
  • SAP experience an advantage & ability to learn new programmes quickly
  • Good organisation skills with excellent prioritising abilities
  • Be proactive and have a positive attitude to working challenges
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good attention to detail

Hours:37.5hrs (5 out of 7 days) - Flexibility needed as will include weekends/evenings


Salary:
£26,325 per annum
