Day in the Life of Material Handler
The average day of a Materials Handler is to handle parts for the Fluke manufacturing cells in line with Standard Work.
The role may also include working with the goods in/goods out team to ensure the timely flow of product in and out of the factory.
In addition, operators will be a vital part of suggesting and implementing improvements to Fluke manufacturing processes through our internal improvement business system (FBS).
Responsibilities:
To handle, store, count, and distribute parts, keep the working environment in a clean and tidy manner, and assist in stock taking as and when required.
Responsible for adherence to defined processes in assigned work areas, including but not limited to; Standard Work Instructions, 5S Standards, and Safe Systems of Work.
Take part in the tasks as required.
Suggest and/or implement processes for improvements using the FBS (Fortive Business System) toolset in order to improve operating KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) such as Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost.
As required, partake in the creation, review, and implementation of new procedures/work instructions, including suggesting improvements to currently issued procedures.
You will be part of a diverse team of 8 that will include dispatch and goods, led by the Production Manager.
Previous experience of using a counterbalance forklift is desirable but not essential
PC Literacy including Microsoft Office
