Description

Responsibilities:

Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other contract documents to prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates
Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to understand project requirements and develop accurate estimates
Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for estimating purposes
Prepare detailed takeoffs, material quantities, labor costs, and subcontractor bids
Utilize estimating software and tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the estimating process
Present estimates to management and clients in a clear and professional manner
Participate in prebid meetings, bid negotiations, and postbid followups

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
Proven experience as an Estimator in the Timber/joinery sector
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and processes
Proficiency in reading blueprints, plans, and specifications
Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
