    Job overview

    The opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Band Occupational Therapist to work in a busy Rehabilitation hospital. The case load can include varied and complex patients which can make the case load interesting and the experience valuable.

    You will work as part of an MDT which includes another Occupational Therapist and support workers.

    The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

    Main duties of the job

    The post holder will contribute to the planning and delivery of the Occupational Therapy service and service developments within their team.

    Self directed learning and development is expected. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, with the ability to work confidently in the assessment and treatment of patients within the clinical speciality. Recognising, respecting and being sensitive to individuals' philosophies of life along with the significance of religious and cultural beliefs.

    The ability to utilise existing computer software to update clinical notes, order equipment etc. is necessary as well as general computer literacy and assisting with data collection when required.
