    Description

    Position Summary

    Supporting the Logistics Manager and team, providing administration support, to assist in the work efficiency and performance of operations in the Whitstable site.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities


    • To help control and manage all Despatch / Production documentation issued to achieve the daily/weekly customer requirements. Assisting the Despatch / Planning teams with general business duties.


    • Prepare Despatch / Export documentation for a smooth delivery process


    • General office Administration e.g Filing, scanning, storing documentation


    • Raise any purchase order as required.


    • To assist with the production planning administration and assist the Logistics manager accordingly to give more efficient output.


    • To attend the Despatch / Production meetings when required, to provide reports and minutes for business activities


    • Assist the production management team with time sheets and the management of the production staff activities.


    • Provide reports for the senior managers as required.


    • Formalise and business actions and set-up necessary meetings to chase relevant actions.


    • Additional duties to the above as assigned from time to time by the department manager and as the role requires.

    Qualifications/Education

    Essential


    • GCSE standard Maths/English or equivalent


    • Very strong computer literacy - Microsoft Office familiarity (Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint

    Desirable


    • Relevant working experience in a production office


    • Understanding of production data and manufacturing processes

    Experience

    Essential


    • Minimum of 1 years` experience working in a similar production assistant/ planning role.


    • A working knowledge of Excel and reporting processes


    • Great interpersonal skills


    • Excellent communication and organisational skills


    • Computer knowledge and skills.

    Desirable


    • Knowledge of ERP / MRP systems and planning tools – ideally M3
