£40,000-£45,000 (Negotiable depending on experience)


Location:
Rotherham with national travel


Hours:37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Roles and Responsibilities - Electrical Trainer and Assessor

The Electrical Trainer and Assessor is responsible for:

  • Involvement in activities within the company requiring development and delivery of training courses and undertaking assessment. This involves face-to-face meetings with clients and providing advice.
  • Provide Support and information to the training and consultancy teams.
  • Deputise for the Compliance Director in matters of training and assessment.
  • Participate in quality assurance and standardisation with regards to training and assessment. Support the Compliance Director in meeting the needs of Awarding Bodies.
  • The daytoday health and safety of themselves including the completion, implementation and dissemination of Risk Assessments and Method Statements.

Duty Statements
1.1 Electrical Training Duties

  • Deliver existing training packages at head office in Rotherham and on client's sites across the UK.
  • Liaise with clients to determine training needs and contents of training packages.
  • Develop bespoke training packages in line with client's specifications and requirements.
  • Develop training materials to support training packages.
  • Deliver bespoke training on client's sites.
  • Deliver training both facetoface and remotely via MS Teams
  • Undertake assessments and mark assessment paperwork
  • Undertake internal verification of another assessor's work
  • Attend and participate in standardisation meetings.
1.2 Electrical Auditing

  • Undertake sitebased assessments of client competency and electrical safety management systems and procedures.
  • Produce gap reports including areas of nonconformances and recommendations for resolution.
  • Deliver reports to clients and provide the necessary information for the admin support team to produce proposals.
1.3 General Office Duties

  • Liaise with the Compliance Director to;
  • Ensure training documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
  • Maintenance of job files and documentation required for project completion.
  • Liaise with Admin Support to undertake quality checks on all outgoing documentation in accordance with the Proof Reading and Formatting Guidelines, ensuring that Quality Management Procedures are adhered to.
  • Filing and Distribution
  • Responsibility for own administration including keeping Customer Relationship Management up to date, time recording, correspondence with clients including transmittal documentation, close out letters etc in line with company Quality Management System.

Minimum

  • Suitable electrical trade qualifications such as 236 C Certificate or HNC in Electrical Engineering, as well as 2382, 2377 and 239
  • Relevant training experience delivering 2382, 2377 and 239
  • An appropriate training qualification such as CertEd, PGCE, PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS etc
  • An appropriate assessor qualification such as A1, D1, TAQA etc

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with arc flash and arc blast
  • Experience operating as an Authorised Person, Senior Authorised Person or Authorising Engineer at High Voltage and/or Low Voltage
  • Possess NEBOSH Level 3 NGC or higher
  • Approved trainer for Safety Pass Alliance Core, Petrol Forecourt, Mineral Products, Food and Drink
  • Involvement in development / implementation of electrical safety rules and supporting procedures
  • Undertaking competency assessments (existing format in place at ESUK)
  • Undertaking electrical audits
  • A working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls
  • A working knowledge of heating systems.
