2nd Line NOC Engineer

Central London / Hybrid - min 1 day per week in the office

Up to £50,000 doe
The role, joining a SaaS telecommunications organisation that delivers critical cloud telecoms software services to their clients. Joining the NOC, this role would suit somebody with previous experience who wants to help grow the team and the business

The role of Senior 2nd Line NOC Engineer includes:

  • Helping to ensure the NOC monitors the components of the SaaS infrastructure, to ensure its delivering high availability of the products
  • Being a professional expert and team mentor
  • Managing the configuration, deployment, maintenance and security of missioncritical systems
  • Leading in escalations, troubleshooting, and technical support for customers
  • Proactively engaging in improving the services
  • Liaising with 3rd party suppliers as a technical lead
  • Previous experience of development and deployment of new technologies
  • Planning and maintaining network changes and upgrading projects
  • Experience of mentoring juniors
  • Experience of working within a NOC to agreed SLA's

Skills required include:

  • Working knowledge of IP, Thernet, routing and switching with LAN/WAN/Data Centre /Public Cloud environments
  • VMWare 5.5>7.0
  • Linux administration
  • TDM/SS7 & SIP interconnects
  • CCNA
