We are looking for Intervention Workers to mentor children and young people. The role would ideally suit candidates seeking 3 - 5 days, Monday - Friday only. Annual leave is to be taken in school holidays.

We share a passion for strength-based child-focused support, working in partnership with Academies, Devon County Council, parents and social care organisations. We provide 1-2-1 mentoring programmes tailored to the developmental needs of the individual.
1-2-1 Mentors are seeking to recruit enthusiastic, committed individuals who have the qualities to work effectively with children and young people who may have experienced significant barriers to their learning. Empathy, perseverance, personal resilience and creativity are all essential qualities. The successful candidates must have experience of working successfully with children who present with social, emotional and behavioural needs. We are looking for candidates who have experience in working with primary, secondary, forest school and outdoor education.
As a mentor, you must be able to remain calm in challenging situations, show initiative and be confident of lone working in a variety of settings. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with key partners in education and social care are essential.
A driving licence and the use of a car are essential.
