What you'll be doing:
  • Support the service design for a strategically important 3
  • year change programme, the achievement of which directly impacts the £6.2bn support IBP (63% of total Air IBP) _and also _impacts the delivery of contracted support outputs to our customers.
  • Define and develop service design capability, particularly focusing on People (SQEP pipeline), Process and Toolset. Recognise that the sum of services forms the customer operational and support solution.
  • Work crossfunctionally, recognising that services are not limited to Engineering.
  • Establish a stakeholder network that spans functions, contracts, and Lines of Business to enable effective design and implementation of the TLES capability.
  • Deploy this capability on current and future Air projects, where BAES is providing a service (typically aircraft availability)
  • Manage own workload to ensure task delivery to agreed programme, planned cost & to a high quality.
  • Support the governance and assurance activities that will maintain the BAE Systems 'franchise' approach for how we 'do' Support & Services service design. This includes respecting Product governance, as defined for Engineering, where the service will ultimately be tailored to a customer and hence fall under an extant Product Technical Authority (PTA) within the Lines of Business

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

  • STEM Degree, HND or equivalent and demonstrable experience in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Experience of working in a collaborative environment with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience of Dynamic simulation, life cycle cost analysis, Support solution design and modelling
  • Experience of Through Life / Platform availability service drivers (i.e., LSAR, Maintenance Planning & Execution, Supply Chain Planning, Information architectures etc.)
  • Knowledge of the Engineering Lifecycle, applicable to services and platforms, and their interaction at a system of systems level

Benefits:

You'll receive benefits including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.

You'll also have access to additional benefits such as flexible working, an employee assistance programme, Cycle2work and employee discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
