    Full time – 35 hours per week

    Up to £28,000 per annum dependent on experience

    We are looking for a highly motivated and creative individual who will be responsible for:

  • Growing services and increasing our reach to more beneficiaries by raising targeted funds, identifying opportunities, engaging with a range of funders (grant makers, individual supporters and commissioners)
  • Raising the profile of Nelson Trust, and the Women and Young Adults Service in Wales developing supporters and building partnerships locally.
  • Articulating our mission, values and our work, helping us to raise funds to enhance our services and support for our beneficiaries.
  • You will be joining us at a pivotal stage of our journey as we seek to develop our support services in depth and breadth across Wales.

    This is an exciting role within a place-based fundraising and business development model, ensuring that whilst the charity grows it maintains its local status and support networks. As the dedicated Wales lead within the department, you will develop an excellent understanding of the local landscape, enabling you to build new relationships, identify opportunities and lead in the completion of grant applications from start to finish.

    The Nelson Trust is a trusted partner to a wide range of grant-making trusts as well as individual supporters. This is an exciting and challenging role for an individual who shares our charitable objectives, and who is passionate and skilled in leading high-quality funding applications and fundraising activities.

    This is a hybrid role, the office base can be in one of our women's centres in Cardiff, Swansea or Newport (Hybrid office/WFH).

    Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women's Centres this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
