Description
I am currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician for my client in Yeovil.This role will be primarily working within Metal coatings and systems.
The role of Laboratory Technician will include:
Tank maintenance and chemical additions.
Stock control of chemicals
pH control and chemical analysis
Producing and conducting tests on test panels.
Producing and conducting tests on Hardness, Salt Spray and Coating Weight.
Electrical insulation & conductivity testing.
Advise on RCCA when discrepancies occur.
Support production/quality issues.
Writing reports on findings.
Assist in Internal Audits, Continuous improvement and 5S, REACH compliance.
Maintaining a safe place of work, ensuring all activities performed are in accordance with regulatory and
Skills and experience required for the Laboratory Technician:
Degree in Chemistry (preferable but not required as training can be provided)
Aerospace/ plating experience
English, Science and Math GCSE, or equivalent
Highly analytical with excellent attention to detail.
All-rounded interpersonal and communication skills
