    Staff Software Engineer (Front End) | London (1 day p/w) | £120-135k

    I am currently working with one of the world's leading job platforms.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in frontend technologies and architectures, being prepared to be hands-on if needed. You will be the go-to person and the portfolio level owner of frontend engineering practices and architectural standards, providing expert guidance and creating a culture of technical excellence.

    You will be responsible for the following on a day-to-day basis:

    • Cross team collaboration and influence : you will be working across business units to influence and help align strategy, allocate expertise, elevate engineering practices while ensuring there is cohesive approach to technology within and beyond the portfolio.
    • Best practices and adoption : Lead the implementation of high-quality coding standards, design patterns and architectural principals while supporting and guiding all teams within the portfolio through the integration on new technologies and frameworks.
    • Complex problem resolution: Leverage your deep expertise and find robust solutions to the businesses problems.
    • Upskilling and mentoring : This is not a management role. However, you will be developing the engineering teams enabling them to excel in target technologies.
    • Autonomy : this is an outcome driven environment and you will operate with a high degree of independence.

    What we are looking for:

    • Proven technical leadership in complex environments as an individual contributor.
    • Expert in front end architectures and technologies.
    • Highly proficient in
    • Skilled in Performance-oriented programming.
    • Experienced in Leveraging design systems.
    • Highly skilled in mentorship, technical enablement of engineering teams and strong verbal and written communications.

    A couple other reasons to apply:

    • BONUS: Usually 20-25% but there is an opportunity to double this bonus if targets are exceeded to an exceptional level.
    • Real flexible working; there is a high level of flexibility with this role. Initially they will be looking for someone to come into the London office 1-2 days a week to get an understanding of the business and the team. However, the team is in various locations so they are remote first.
