A bit about the role
:


Providing administrative support to the Assistant Directors of Growth and Delivery, and working with the Director's Executive Assistant, you will play a key role supporting the Affordable Housing Grants team to work effectively and efficiently, helping to set up better ways of working and support engagement with our external partners (Housing Associations, Local Authorities and others).


We have ambitious plans to continue to invest the £7.4bn Affordable Housing Programme, to deliver much needed affordable homes across the country in the next few years and great communication across our teams, and with external partners is critical to this success.


The role covers all of England meaning you will be working closely with all the Affordable Housing Grants sub-teams based across the country, providing support remotely through Microsoft Teams and be based in one of our offices.


We believe in delivering a first-class customer service, resolving delivery issues informally wherever possible, and taking an innovative and creative approach to building more affordable housing.

A bit about you:


Whilst the focus of the team's day job is to increase the delivery of affordable homes we are looking for a confident self-starter to help us to deliver first class customer service not only to our stakeholders but across the AHG sub-teams.


You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as collaboration with the sub-teams within Affordable Housing Grants and the wider agency is essential.

You will be used to working on multiple tasks at the same time, sometimes working at pace and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.


You should have experience of supporting at Director or Assistant Director level, or equivalent, and be able to demonstrate an interest in the affordable housing sector and in supporting Homes England's mission.
