    Procurement Manager

    An experienced Strategic Procurement Manager is required to join an NHS client based in the Stoke on Trent area.

    For this Strategic Procurement Manager role, you will be responsible for:
    • Defining the approach and leading delivery of strategic procurement and routine purchasing to customer base, ensuring compliance with EU Legislation, UK Law and Trust Standing Financial Instructions.
    • The efficiency and effectiveness delivery of Procurement Services to the total customer base in order to meet needs.
    • Addressing central government supply chain related objectives
    • Directly responsible for a portfolio of contracts and also for managing, supporting and guiding the work of Strategic Procurement team members, each with their own contract portfolios.
    • Work closely with the Procurement Operations Manager, Capital Contract Manager, Deputy Director & Head of Procurement to ensure overall co-ordination and achievement of the Integrated Supplies and Procurement Department Business Plan, strategy and objectives.
    • To project manage the procurement process for strategic contracts, ensuring value for money, probity and the elimination of commercial risks.
    Key Requirements for this Strategic Procurement Manager role
    • Experience leading on complex, high value contracts and tenders.
    • Public Sector Procurement experience
    • Experience dealing with very senior organisational stakeholders.
    • Experience of management multi-disciplinary, multi-stakeholder complex projects
    • Able to prepare, lead and manage Public Contract Regulations 2015 processes and associated documentation.
    • Excellent supplier stakeholder management and engagement skills
    • CIPS qualification preferred but not essential.
    • Able to successfully lead a complex procurement project across an ICS.
    • Knowledge and experience of conducting a competitive exercise via a nationally approved framework.
    • Ability to provide detailed feedback and reports to senior stakeholders.
    • Experience of project managing a complex, high value PCR procurement exercise
    Details of this Strategic Procurement Manager role:
    Location: Stoke on Trent
    Salary: £30.19PH rising to £36.01PH after 12 weeks
    Working hours: 37.5 hours a week. Flexible working, 2 days at home. Monday to Friday.
    Duration: 6 months, with a potential to be extended.
