KPJ Group are looking for a
Purchase/Stock Controller to join a leading manufacturer of material handling equipment based in
Hyde.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the company maintains the optimum level of stock/inventory needed to meet production needs.


What's on offer?
- £15.00 per hour

  • Monday
  • Thursday 8:00am 4:30pM/Friday 8:00am 1:00pm
  • 37 hour week

What will you be doing as a Storesperson?

  • Ordering and taking control of stock using Progress Plus system (training provided)
  • Establishing minimum stock levels with guidance from colleagues
  • Ensuring prices on the system are maintained and up to date
  • Carrying out annual stock checks
  • Liaising with suppliers (where required)
  • Monitoring orders in order to ensure parts are received on time
  • Liaising with Production Manager regarding material requirements
  • Picking items from stock and issuing to production
  • Loading/unloading machines and parts using overhead crane (where required training provided)
  • Attending meetings regarding production/handovers

What do you need?

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft programmes (Word & Excel)
  • A strong understanding of stock control principles and techniques
  • Experience using Progress plus system (desirable)
  • Experience operating an overhead crane (desirable)
