About the Role:

We are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to support educational activities in schools across Bishop's Stortford.

This role is pivotal in aiding the educational development of students and supporting the lead teacher with daily instructional duties.


Responsibilities:


  • Assist with the preparation and organization of teaching materials to support daily classroom activities.
  • Provide support to students individually or in small groups to help them understand the material and complete assignments.
  • Supervise students during nonclassroom times including before and after school, and during lunch and recess.
  • Collaborate with teachers to monitor the progress of students and discuss educational strategies and materials.
  • Manage any classroomrelated administrative tasks and support the maintenance of a clean and organized learning environment.
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings as required.

Requirements:


  • Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • A passion for education and a patient, nurturing approach.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as an NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools, are preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff and students.
  • A current Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
