Associate Director, Client Coverage - Investor & Treasury Services


What is the opportunity?


You will be a key business representative, responsible for business development and strategic client coverage, ensuring all business activities conform to respective regulations and grow the platform in UK & Europe focusing on the provision of innovative and value-add fund and asset servicing solutions; to Clients and Prospects.


What will you do?
- 'Own' the respective client strategies and be commercially focused so as to drive optimal financial performance whilst maintaining prudent controls.

  • Complete calling/prospecting on existing & new opportunities, responding to requests for proposals and managing through the client relationship management and deal review processes.
  • Combine industry, product and regulatory knowledge to provide clients and prospects with tailored advice and insights, enabling them to achieve their objectives.
  • Manage all aspects of a deal from origination to closing, including contract negotiation; own client or prospect strategy, engagement and align their needs to firm offerings.
  • Develop and leverage an internal network across product, operations, legal, compliance, risk, pricing and others to build innovative solutions and enterprise connectivity to generate new business and crosssell opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the fund management industry with a focus on UK, Luxembourg and Ireland as well as global trends.
  • Continuously develop knowledge of assetservicing products, with particular focus on the ongoing development of technological and datadriven solutions.
  • External engagement: driving brand awareness/visibility through active, targeted participation in local industry bodies, conferences and trade associations.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Degree qualified (CFA and/or CAIA is a plus) or equivalent, with extensive professional experience ideally in banking & financial services and in particular fund management with an awareness of key economic, technological and commercial drivers for that industry.
  • Demonstrable trackrecord of successful relationship management including knowledge of sales processes, tools and technique that builds and retains clientrelationships.
  • Product knowledge that should include core investment services (custody, fund administration and trust) and ideally, middle office, foreign exchange, credit and datasolutions.
  • Selfmotivator/starter with proven ability to balance a diverse set of priorities in a fast paced, deadline oriented environment with strong financial, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Contribute to both individual and team success through focus on execution excellence and exemplary client service, balancing employee engagement with business priorities.
  • Be able to operate in a cross functional and international culture and deliver on core principles of clientcentricity and in support of GCC's collective goals.
  • Demonstrate collaboration and accountability as a way of 'doingbusiness' and be comfortable with change whilst remaining focused on GCC goals/priorities.
  • Be comfortable traveling as required.

Nice-to-have

  • Investment fund industry exposure and experience preferred (e.g. UCITS law and AIFMD).
  • Product knowledge of core investment management services including custody, fund administration, transfer agency, middle office, foreign exchange, credit, securities lending, cash management and datasolutions.
  • Frenchspeaker a plus.
