- Management of engineering scope of work and team.
- Lead research and development projects to produce new designs, products, and processes.
- Collaborate with external partners on product development designs for prototypes and production.
- Create project budgets and oversee their successful execution.
- Support market research to understand requirements for new product development.
- Conceptualize new product ideas using CAD software to design prototypes.
- Lead product testing throughout the design process to troubleshoot potential problems.
- Source materials and design factors for new product brief.
- Deliver product specifications and procedures for prototype manufacture, assembly, and testing.
- Analyze existing products for improvements and update documentation.
- Implement engineering systems and controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Master's degree in Engineering may be advantageous.
- Previous experience in product prototype development.
- Good working knowledge of mechanical design, fluid dynamics, materials, and quality control.
- Experience with 3D modeling software and report writing programs.
- Strong communication, teamwork, math, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
