    In Portsmouth we are proud to be at the forefront of integrated multi-agency work with neurodiverse (ND) children and their families.

    As a national trailblazer, we will shortly be launching our new Multidisciplinary Neurodiversity Service. This brings together experts from a range of fields to provide universal and targeted information, advice and guidance.
    You will offer consultation to professionals, and assessment, advice and therapeutic intervention to young people and their families.

    You will foster close relationships with colleagues in Education, Health and Social Care, children and their families to ensure we understand and meet the challenges they face when children have additional needs.

    Child / young person first

    The Neurodevelopmental Practitioner will work within the Neurodiversity Multidisciplinary Team to assess children and young people for neurodevelopmental differences i.e., ADHD and ASD, and to provide post assessment guidance and therapeutic intervention to family and networks as per need.

    *Uses clinical judgement in relation to the assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients, undertaking a range of clinical actions including developmental assessment, school observation/liaison and individual observation of the child.

    We have been working with other local NHS Trusts to create a new organisation, bringing together all community, mental health and learning disability services from across Hampshire and Isle of Wight.

    Project Fusion is the name for the programme to create the new combined NHS Foundation Trust.

    Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be bringing the services into a single organisation will result in more consistent care, more equitable access to services irrespective of postcode, and a more sustainable workforce and services.

    The new organisation will operate locally to ensure services can best meet the needs of different communities.

    The new Trust will be comprised of all the services currently provided by Solent NHS Trust and Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, the community, mental health and learning disability services provided by Isle of Wight NHS Trust and child and adolescent mental health services delivered in parts of Hampshire by Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

    TUPE is a legal process to ensure you transfer out of one organisation and into another, maintaining the terms and conditions of your employment.

    Undertake assessment of children and young people where there are concerns regarding Neurodevelopmental presentations
    *Undertaking a detailed health history following an agreed format
    *Following clinical supervision undertake further assessment in line with local policies and procedures.
    *RN, RMN, Social work, Psychology, Occupational Therapist, IAPT

    Evidence of post registration courses / CPD evidence at a post grad level (not necessarily masters level)
    Specific training with regards to assessment of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and ADHD I.e. Experience of working with children who have a neurodevelopmental disorder such as ASD and ADHD
    Experience of undertaking detailed health history and assessments.
    Experience of working with a wide variety of children, adolescents and their families/carers across the whole range and presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity
