    Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineer

    Employment type: Permanent, full-time

    Location: Warrington

    Hours: 37.5 core hours per week, Monday to Friday

    Package: Competitive Salary + Company Vehicle, Benefits (25 days holiday, 5% matched pension)

    The Role

    We need a motivated and experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineer to join the team permanently.

    As an Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining control systems and instrumentation solutions to enhance their services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical systems meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.

    Example of responsibilities:

    • Oversee project tendering processes and offer technical assistance to the sales team.
    • Supervise electrical engineering operations to meet company growth goals.
    • Coordinate internal and external electrical engineering personnel for timely project completion.
    • Develop project plans considering project specifications, quality assurance standards, and legal requirements.
    • Provide technical project engineering support including flow sheets and risk assessments.
    • Establish project-specific safety protocols.
    • Monitor and enhance customer relationships.
    • Set clear objectives for direct reports and evaluate performance.

    Experience/ Skills Required as an Electrical & Instrumentation Design Engineer

    • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
    • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
    • Experience in designing and implementing control systems for industrial applications.
    • Expertise in fault finding and solution providing for control systems.
    • Proficient in programming PLCs and SCADA/HMI systems.
    • Comprehension of instrumentation principles and practical experience in selection and calibration.
    • Ability to manage senior and junior staff.
    • Familiarity with CDM 2015 regulations and guidelines.
    • Flexibility to travel within the UK, Ireland, and Europe.
