    What you'll be doing

    as an Investment Optimisation Manager
  • Understand portfolio risk and opportunities.
  • Develop options to continually optimise the plan.
  • Develop future longer-term investment scenarios with planning teams in preparation for the next regulatory investment cycle.
  • Maintain a working relationship with the central Internal Business Planning Team.
  • Maintain central assumptions and exclusions register.
  • Critical friend to planning and delivery teams.
  • Assist in embedding a commercial mindset (optimising returns & realising benefits).
  • Ensure investment initiatives remain strategically aligned.
  • What should you bring to the role?

  • Degree level or equivalent appropriate professional body qualification.
  • MBA, Chartership or business school level leadership development.
  • Strong business and portfolio delivery skills with strong financial analytical capabilities.
  • Enthusiastic about putting our customers first every day.
  • Ability to process detail, with an awareness of wider strategic objectives.
  • Demonstrable track record of supporting business through several cycles of business planning and improvement.
  • Implementing best practice portfolio/programme management.
  • Strong commercial/financial track record.
  • Understanding of the end-to-end investment lifecycle, from identification of needs to tracking and reporting the realisation of benefits.
  • Proven strategic thinker, able to see the bigger picture and manage/lead multiple activities.
  • What's in it for you?

  • Competitive salary between £56,080 to £84,120 per annum depending on skills and experience.
  • Annual Leave - 26 days holiday per year increasing to 30 with the length of service. (Plus bank holidays)
  • Car allowance of £5,800 per annum.
