We're currently hiring for a full-time
Delivery Loader & Shunter at our
Birmingham depot.

The role will include working to ensure all delivered vehicles are loaded safely, in a timely manner and according to all company procedures.

You will also on an ad-hoc basis operate as a HGV Class 2 Driver when needed, to cover busy periods and also holidays / sickness if required.

You will be working as part of a key supportive team within the depot, where you will take ownership and work alongside a team of drivers and employees in the loading of all vehicles to go out delivering that day with good attention to detail and can work well in a busy environment, along with the competent & safe driving and delivery of goods using a HGV Class 2 vehicle.

What will you be doing as a Delivery Loader / Shunter?

The loading of all delivery vehicles each day
Working alongside drivers and other employees to help load the vehicles.
Ensuring all cages and pallets are loaded safely and securely onto vehicles.
Taking responsibility for the zone that you are working in; this includes ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained.
Supporting other departments as required.
Multidrop delivery of customers' orders in cages and on pallets in an organised and timely fashion (when required)
Loading lorries according to daily routes while following all CPC regulations.
Dealing with Customer queries and payments upon delivery.
Supporting other departments as required.

What do you need to be a Delivery Loader?

Excellent work ethic is required, as well as punctuality and reliability.
Initiative and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team to guide them.
Good time management as you will be working at speed and to deadlines.
Good attention to detail and careful precision to meet targets.
Able to work in a highvolume, sometimes physically challenging role.
Must hold a valid UK driving licence.
Experience and a licence driving a forklift truck
Counterbalance.
You must have a good understanding of tachograph rules and regulations.
Confident using tail lifts.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service.
Excellent work ethic is required, as well as punctuality and reliability.
