Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for enthusiastic Psychology graduates and students, to work as learning support assistants in our schools across Cardiff.

The roles can be both part and full-time on a supply basis depending on your availabilityand other commitments and it may involve working with children with additional needs.

To be considered for these temporary roles the ability to engage and build rapport with children is essential.

If you currently study psychology or a related degree or have experience working in Psychology, Mental health, Neuroscience/Counselling and canuse your understanding of child psychology, emotional development, and various psychological and special educational needs, please contact us immediately.

In these Learning support roles, your will be expected to:
Support and enable learning with the instructions given by the teacher

Support the teachers for class and activity preparation


Monitor students learning, social, emotional, and behavioural progress against targets and report to the teachers of any positive and negative changes.

In return,

You will gain relevant paid work experience related to special educational needs and educational psychology.

You will be able to work flexibly as an when and where it suits you.

Build good understanding of Education and curriculum and its impact on child development


Most of our schools are going to be local to you and we will offer you training through our experienced recruitment consultants and Ofsted rated CPD sessions.

As a teaching assistant you will be expected to:
To provide engaging and empathetic educational support to pupils

To assist the teacher delivering lessons
