Salary £11.54 per hour

Full-time, permanent contract

Newton Abbot

Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

An exciting opportunity has now arisen within our client's Newton Abbot Agency.


About the role:

Our client is looking for a conscientious, organised individual to join their team.


Training will be provided to enable you to help customers with their general insurance requirements and to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

In this role you will put customers at the heart of your role by building and maintaining customer relationships to enhance profitability.


This will involve promoting and cross-selling General Insurance (GI) products to their existing customer base, while also looking at potential leads for their life products.

You will need to identify, collate and analyse data relating to their existing client base to generate potential prospects.

In addition to above, the role involves sales of personal lines products to new and existing customers.

This will also involve supporting the functioning of the office and assisting with sales campaigns and outbound calling in a regulated environment.

Your day to day will also involve reviewing, amending and managing policy transactions. The role is Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.

The role is a varied position that will allow you to focus on your own continuous improvement and build on your own knowledge in insurance.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Acquiring and maintaining a knowledge of insurance products
  • Administering all customer instructions to completion and compliance standards
  • Handle general customer enquiries, via telephone and face to face including taking payments
  • Reviewing and advising customers on their general insurance requirements including midterm policy alterations and renewals
  • Cross sell insurance policies to new and existing customers
  • Introducing Financial Services products
  • Producing correspondence to required timeframes and quality standards
  • Developing and sustaining effective working relationships with customers and relevant staff
