The Lanes Group needs an experienced Training Coordinator to join our growing Rail network division.

The job:
The Training Coordinator oversees the creation of bookings, maintenance of the training competency matrix and ongoing compliance requirements for the Division, duties include but are not limited to the following;
- Reviews existing training materials, course outlines and costs produced by third parties to determine appropriateness and relevance
- Manages the Division's FORS (Freight Operators Recognition Scheme) compliance and training requirements
- Manages the Division's overall training competency system, bookings register, role specific training requirements plan and costs
- Coordinating effectively between external training providers (third parties) and TfL directly delivered training departments
- Modifies or creates course materials and training manuals to meet specific needs
- Schedules training courses, sessions, booking forms, joining instructions and allocates relevant personnel to each course
- Raise training claw back forms for each course booked, provides to each individual operative and returns to be filed on Cascade HR
- Assists approved Sub-Contractors adhoc with training bookings and advising of requirements
- Manages mandatory training requirements and records of all Sub-Contractors
- Supports the Division's HR function in the recruitment and induction of new company starters to comply with business requirements
- Monitors training programs and manuals to ensure that they are effective and up to date, and makes any updates to these as necessary
- Works with other managers to address learning issues, instruction problems, or new educational needs regarding specific employees or departments
- Reports costs for all programs, productions and publications in order to report to the Senior Management Team
- Responsible for identifying opportunities for cost and operational efficiencies and maintains an ongoing training budget
- Maintains understanding of new educational and training techniques and methods
- Collect information from senior management and other departments regarding how well employees retain information and use the concepts learned in training courses to help manage supply chain
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Perform related duties as assigned by HSQE Manager and Contract Director
- Carries out desktop compliance checks and audits on completed documentation
- Carries out structured internal audits in line with ISO 9001 and 14001 standards
- Assists with HSQE Administration to fulfil duties such as; Tool Box Talks, Returns Trackers, Falling Objects, Scaffold Register, Supply chain management and Monthly Returns folder
- Completes and reviews DSE assessments for Day time office workers
- Assists with site compliance activities; fire drills, extinguisher checks and emergency lighting
