You will need to hold a recognised Pharmacy Technician qualification (BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences, NVQ level 3 or equivalent)and an accredited checking qualification are essential.
This exciting opportunity is to lead the Pharmacy Dispensary team. You will work with other Senior pharmacy technicians in managing the technical pharmacy services to SHSC. Ensuring the safe and effective supply, procurement and distribution of medicines throughout the trust. You will manage the technical dispensary staff and monitor the overall operational procedures undertaken by them in the dispensary.
You will work with other Senior pharmacy technicians in delivering the medicines management ward service, community service plus support training and development and expansion of the team.

The Pharmacy Department is a forward thinking and progressive department seeking to expand our current team as we develop a patient focused and modern hospital pharmacy service to the Trust while constantly looking at ways to further improve our service.
The patient is at the Centre of all that we do, and we aim to provide a pharmacy service that has medicine Optimisation as key.
Manage the dispensary service to ensure safe and effective supply and distribution of medicines in line with best practice and Wholesale Dealers License.
~ Manage and maintain the EPMA pharmacy computer system.
~ Management of the phlebotomy service.
~ Participate in continuous personal development.
~ To participate in annual personal development review (PDR) and to agree to training objectives set.
~ To maintain continued professional development (CPD) as required by the GPhC or other registered body and assist in relevant audits in accordance with clinical governance requirements.
~ To comply with trust policies including confidentiality, personal and patient safety
