Civilian Investigator Band D


This is a unique opportunity to get involved in one of the largest homicide investigations which has run alongside a Public Inquiry.

We are now at a crucial stage, a decisive turning point which will see us building cases against key companies and individuals with whom responsibility for refurbishing the tower lay.

As such the investigation has intensified and is now very fast moving.


Location:
London, Hendon


Contract: 12 months with possible extension


Work hours:
Full time - 1 day WFH


Salary:
£18.72 per hour PAYE - £23.78 per hour Umbrella

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Action led tasking to progress established criminal investigations.
  • To write Briefing Notes and reports which may be reviewed by NPCC Officers and senior stakeholders
  • The work may also involve reinvestigating some cases as directed by the SIO

Essential

  • Previous experience of Major / Complex Crime Investigations.
  • Have sound report writing/written skills
  • Have previous investigative experience
  • Have previous, recent experience of working in a public protection environment
  • Have a flexible attitude to work with the ability to prioritise
  • Have sound report writing/written skills
  • Must be IT literate and have a good command and working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Understanding of Police Conduct Regulations, Police Reform Act, Police (Complaints and Misconduct) Regulations and Police (Performance) Regulations
