Senior Project Manager – Team Lead

You will be responsible for leading the project management to deliver commercial projects to standard and quality, on time, in full, to budget and meet the customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Lead a UK-based team, deploying an appropriate balance of hands-on and remote management that provides support, coaching, and mentorship with sufficient first-hand insight of the working environment experienced by your team to ensure the provision of the best fit management framework to service the needs of your team; the Company; our clients; and other stakeholders.
• Monitor the competency of the team to ensure the Company's service level expectations can be achieved.
• Monitor the effectiveness of collaborative working across relevant teams including Sales, TechDev, Scheduling, Design, Procurement and Finance to ensure clear & detailed project design and scope for each project are in place assuring the shared clarity of understanding of the customer and end user project execution expectations.
• Monitor the effectiveness of project management systems, ensuring complete and accurate data is managed appropriately to enable your team to perform at their best and provide business reports that are detailed and sufficient for business decision making purposes.
• Manage the productivity and efficiency of the project management team.
• Oversee the full project resources management with appropriate consideration for: commercial; customer; compliance; and project expectations, to deliver standards and quality, on time, in full, and to budget projects.
• Provide a success framework for your team to succeed through: onboarding, training, leadership, mentorship, coaching, team buddies, continuous feedback loops, functional processes, clear roles and responsibilities, safe systems of work, guides, policies & procedures, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure a clear structure of performance monitoring, control, and business KPI reporting for delivering performance standards and installation delivery quality.
• Oversee the management of the project management team pipeline of projects monitoring the delivery of the project lifecycle in accordance with company expectations.
• Monitor the efficiency of project communications between internal teams and the customer and Hutchison Technologies, acting as the first escalation point to resolve performance challenges, and escalating onwards where achieving customer expectations are at risk.
• Ensure all project team members are provided with the health and safety provisions necessary for each project.
• Deliver the commercial performance required of your team, monitoring and reporting performance monthly against key performance indicators.

Requirements

• Relevant technical background in project managing electrical projects and project delivery teams.
• Project management experience gained in a small to medium sized organisation, in a relevant sector, where the need to multi-skill across a broad range of project life cycle and associated activities is necessary.
• Conversant with contract documentation such as: bid drawings, site surveys, health & safety frameworks, technical specifications, programme scheduling, construction coordination, material procurement, labour resource planning including sub-contracting, financial agreements, and project commissioning / variation / completion / aftercare.
• Demonstrable relevant experience of working in a customer centric way to delivery high quality installations.
• Demonstrable ability to collaborate positively with multi-disciplined stakeholder groups that have diverse remits, to achieve agreed outcomes.
• Commercially astute with financial management experience in a similar role.
• Resilient to changing requirements and scrutiny, with a growth mindset. Self-aware mentor and collaborative leader.

• Coach, Mentor, and Trainer with experience of apprentice programme management.

• Competent in the use of Microsoft applications.
• Hold the right to work in the UK.
• Holder of a UK driving licence and willingness to travel occasionally.

Desirable

• Relevant technical background in AV, access control, IT, and lighting installations within commercial site settings, including operational settings.
• Technical qualification in electrical, telecommunications, instrumentation, or IT.
• Recognised project management certification.
• Professionally qualified manager.
• Nebosh general certification.
• IOSH certification.
• Familiar with Joblogic software.
