SMT Machine Operator

Reading

£13 -
£14 per hour (Permanent Role)**
Full training will be provided

Late Shift (2pm-10pm Monday to Thursday & 11am-5pm on Friday)
Surface Mount Machine Operator (SMT) Urgently required for a leading electronics manufacturer based near Reading.

As an SMT Operator, your primary duties would include programming, loading components and running the machine, operating reflow ovens, conducting a visual inspection to ensure good quality products to IPC standards and hand fitting components where necessary.

We are actively open to Graduates or Trainees.


This is a permanent role to work for a fast-expanding business that has double in headcount in the past 12 months due to unprecedented orders, resulting in a solid order book for the next 2- 3 years.

The work would involve:

  • Basic machine operation
  • Programming the machine
  • Ensuring high quality assemblies in line with electronic drawings
  • Quality Checking

Required Technical Skills / Qualifications:

Training in surface mount technology (SMT) operations:

Basic Soldering experience is a must

  • Motivation to ensure excellent quality standards
  • Excellent communication and team working skills as well as the ability to work independently
