This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior accounts payable clerk to join a growing business in a time of great change with the potential to develop your career within finance.

You will have a keen interest in system change and people management. The company is an expanding utility contractor based in Stockport, with onsite parking, gym and close to Stockport Centre

What is the role?

Processing supplier invoices via the 3way matching process
Monitoring the shared mailbox to ensure KPI's are kept
Investigation of unallocated cash, debit balances, payment on accounts and requesting refunds where appropriate
Escalating queries within the business so held invoices are kept at a minimum
Hold stakeholder and supplier meetings to discuss relationship improvements and to ensure the process is followed by all parties involved
Completion of supplier statement reconciliations
Support the purchase ledger manager in daytoday activities
Being a secondary escalation point for any supplier queries
Reviewing and processing hire invoices, being able to accurately calculate prices
Scanning and batching of invoices
Develop and support the team with new ways a working and system implementation
Be proactive in coming forward with improvement suggestions

Key skills and experience

3+ years accounts payable experience in a fastpaced highvolume environment
Experience within a hire/construction business advantageous but not compulsory
Be a driven individual who enjoys a challenge
Experience working in a business currently in a state of change
Experience working within a multiple ledger business
Can time manage effectively and delegate where necessary
High attention to detail and results focused
Enjoy being part of a team
