Salary:
Grade A - £10.00 per hour.
Grade D - £11.45 per hour.

ROLE PURPOSE:


To be a Production Operative, working on the production line in accordance with the production schedule, meeting all relevant quality, safety, service, legal and regulatory standards and obligations.


Key Areas of Responsibility:


Engage in the development of improvements in the effectiveness of Production through contribution to cross-functional working, performance improvement initiatives and the development of operational process.

Adopt an ethos of continuous improvement, seeking ways to improve the working methods for productivity, performance and safety of the operation.

Take personal accountability for being compliant with all food safety and hygiene policies procedures and standards, escalating immediately any quality issues to minimise the impact.

Carry out all production related tasks in accordance with written work instructions in order achieve daily production plans, and produce high quality finished goods.

To ensure the Clean As You Go policy is carried out in immediate working area, maintaining own work area to the agreed standards.

Ensure that all operational documentation is completed accurately and promptly to the agreed standards.

Help to identify and eliminate problems, taking timely action to fix the problem and prevent recurrence as agreed with the Line Supervisor.

Maintain processes within pre-determined limits and monitor non-conformance.

Take personal accountability for the product quality, following all the required policies, procedures and standards, escalating immediately any quality issues to minimise any impact.

To work in accordance with the Company's Health and Safety policy and in a manner that ensures operators do not put themselves or others in a position of danger, reporting any incidents and accidents or shortcomings immediately.

Take personal accountability for wearing the appropriate safety protection gear at all times within the production environment.

Adopt an ethos of "safety first", taking responsibility for Health & Safety performance and reporting, ensuring risks and issues are actioned immediately in line with Health & Safety regulations.
