This role is an extremely exciting opportunity for a proven Head of Marketing to join a fast growing businesses in the north west.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you need to have hands-on experience at a stakeholder level.


Requirements:


  • A minimum of five years' experience in digital and offline marketing, working across the full
marketing mix

  • Experience of operational and strategic planning
  • Knowledge of core marketing principles and how to build a brand and marketing strategy
  • Capable of building strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experience and proven track record of driving sales and growing revenue across core marketing channels
  • Experience of data segmentation and audience profiling, and targeting campaigns accordingly
  • Experience of collating, analysing and interpreting data to drive digital marketing activity and increase lead generation
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, commercial and target driven environment
  • Adaptable and quick learner of new online and digital marketing tools
  • Skilled in using insight tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Google Data Studio, Lead Forensics and SEM Rush
  • Skilled in using design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva and other similar products
  • Skilled in using a CMS to update website content aligned with SEO best practice
  • Skilled copy writer for the web and core marketing channels
  • High level budget management skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong knowledge in internal and external communications
  • Highly organised with the ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Work under pressure to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with 2 Marketing Executives to continue building a strong and capable marketing team
  • Manage recruitment, resourcing and staffing plans within the Marketing Department
  • Setting, implementing and managing the Marketing budget
  • Line management of two direct reports; holding regular 121's providing support and direction, setting and managing KPI's and ensuring these are met
  • Oversee data segmentation and campaign creatives; implementing best practice and ensuring lead generation targets are met
  • Oversee promoted social media activity across all core social channels; working with the digital marketing executives to build audience insight, manage multiple campaign creatives and deliver results, working to budget and reporting monthly
  • Work with digital media agency to oversee the performance of our Google Ads and Bing Ads activity; managing and optimising established campaigns, working to budget and delivering ROI, reporting monthly
  • Work with digital media agency to implement SEO and content strategy; writing content for the web based on detailed briefs provided by web agency
  • Work with the wider team to ensure alignment of messaging and campaigns across all channels
  • Devise and lead on the implementation of a retention strategy, utilising connections with growing membership base, and support the business to achieve its revenue target for repeat business
  • Support with the successful launch of new products through keyword research, target audience insight, market research, etc.
  • Manage PR pipeline working with freelance PR consultant, keeping abreast of industry news and hot topics, and liaising with colleagues to garner newsworthy content
  • Manage and report against a marketing budget
  • Manage the compliance of data handling in accordance with GDPR and data privacy policies
  • Identifying appropriate business awards and drafting submissions for entry
  • As the brand guardian you will ensure all campaigns adhere to brand guidelines, and act as the creative lead for the business
  • Ensure all campaign activity is trackable and reported on a monthly basis
  • Continually look for ways to improve processes and ways of working to deliver greater efficiencies and ROI
  • Identify new trends in digital marketing, evaluate new technologies and ensure the brand is at the forefront of industry developments
  • Knowledge of data protection legislation (GDPR and PeCR)
  • At least 5 years managing and running marketing departments and confidently reporting to Director level
  • Marketing budget management experience
  • Strong and open communication skills to easily build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Experience with successfully recruiting and onboarding in the marketing field
  • A driven and passionate work ethic
  • Degree education or equivalent (desirable)
