Our client is a market leading manufacturer of solutions utilised across multiple industries.

Part of an expanding global organisation they are continuing to invest in their UK presence both in facilities but also the innovative solutions range they provide.

As Operations Manager you will assume complete Operations and Manufacturing responsibility for their UK site based in the North East.

The role will be accountable for operations, facilities, H&S, process, quality, budgets and improvement programs.

Key Points of Responsibility
Headcount - Circa 45 (permanent & agency workers)
The position reports into the GM
Budgets, process, quality and driving local objectives

Overview
Set and manage clear strategic objectives.
Align resources in line with wider priorities, fostering a common vision that is focussed on long-term business strategies.
Engage with external and internal peers to further improve service and delivery.
Encourage a collaborative work environment, one that empowers others to take accountability for their specific responsibilities.
Set clear, progressive and challenging time frames and where appropriate utilise KPIs to track progress.
Demonstrate forward thinking in foreseeing obstacles and identify opportunities to improve process.
Encourage, support and be a campion of change and the necessary implementation.
Continuously challenge current process and practices driving positive evolution.
Manage conflict and resolve accordingly.
Appraise all staff members as well as yourself in order to improve performance.
Make tough and pragmatic decisions as required.
