MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT

Location:
Gloucester

Salary:
up to £42K
T2M Resourcing are recruiting a Management Accountant on behalf of a successful and rapidly growing engineering services company. As Management Accountant, you will support with preparation of monthly accounts and reporting.

As Management Accountant key responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs for various companies within the Group
  • Provide detailed revenue and costs variance analysis and information to budget holders across the business.
  • Support with the provision of accurate divisional reporting and analysis
  • Improve timing, content and accuracy of both financial and management reporting
  • Provide analytical support to the senior management team
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Responsible for financial year end audit packs, statutory reporting and liaising with auditors
  • Support the budgeting / forecasting process, providing information and analysis
  • Provide detailed excel spreadsheet modelling for analysis and forecasting purposes
  • Document and improve month end processes and procedures
  • Prepare rolling cashflow and profit & loss forecasts
  • Prepare quarterly VAT returns
To be successful in the role of Management Accountant you will have the following skills and attributes;

  • Qualified or part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 2 years management accounts experience gained in industry
  • Knowledge of Sage 200 an advantage
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills
  • Able to prioritise own workload and multitask
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excel skill at intermediate level or above
  • Questions and where appropriate challenges the status quo to ensure continuous improvement
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility by adapting work in line with changing priorities
