Job Title - Quality Engineer

£ 40,000 - £ 45,000 p.a. (DOE) + Bonus + Early finish Friday + Pension + 25 days holiday

Are you a Quality Engineer interested in working on advanced manufacturing projects for some of the most prestigious, high performance automotive manufacturers on the planet? We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with strong automotive manufacturingquality control and Assurance experience.

As a Quality Engineer your day-to-day responsibilities will consist of;

Internal Quality Management system and external supplier quality development
Ensure robust production processes and continuous improvement
Liaison with colleagues, sister companies, suppliers and customers
Perform visual inspections, mechanical, and functional verification of parts and assembled cars to specification and quality standards
Prepare quality documentation and reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing data.
Engage internal and external cross functional teams to resolve any quality issues including engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, MP&L.
Use structured problem solving including 8D to ensure issues are resolved promptly and lessons are learnt to prevent reoccurrence
Assist in developing and implementing corrective actions and continuous improvement activities
Support supplier PPAP
Ensuring compliance with all ISO9001 / IATF 16949, ISO Environmental) and OHSA (Health and Safety) systems and standards

An exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer with the following;

Strong experience in automotive manufacturing Quality, OEM or tier 1 environment
Body Engineering, exterior trim, interior, suspension systems or Composite materials experience desirable
Strong quality tools knowledge in 8D / problem solving, PPAP, control plans, FMEA etc
