    Description
    Undertake all track maintenance activities safely, efficiently and to a high quality standard. Inspect assets for defects and oversee repairs. Set up safe systems of work to protect staff from trains. Essential Criteria
  • Minimum 2 years experience in track maintenance work
  • Experience in recognising track failure mechanisms and methods of repair
  • Competent in the use of all small plant used in track maintenance
  • PTS certified or willing to obtain
  • Ability to work shift pattern including regular nights and occasional weekends
  • Available outside working hours to respond to emergency calls and co-ordinate works
  • Hold a current Driving Licence
    • Desirable Criteria
  • Experience in organising people, plant and materials to undertake repair works
  • Knowledge and experience of Health & Safety at work
  • Hold a Driving Licence for vehicles up to 16 seats or 7500 kg and towing trailer over 750kg (cat C1E and D1E on licence)
