    Group Finance Director

    We're recruiting for a rapidly growing creative marketing business with offices throughout the UK who, through both organic and acquisitive growth are now seeking an experienced Group Finance Director to lead the finance team, implement robust procedures that accommodate growth and support with VC/M&A activity.

    Role Summary

    Working directly with the CEO you will be responsible for the robust financial management of the business in the UK and overseas. Alongside the senior leadership team, you will take the lead in defining financial processes and procedures, monthly and annual financial reporting, reporting against business KPIs, maintaining and strengthening financial control and all other tasks associated with a fast-growth SME.

    This is an all-encompassing end to end role in finance working in a rapidly growing business.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Finance Team management
    • Preparation of periodic forecasts and annual budgets
    • Cashflow management and forecasting
    • Preparation and presentation of the Monthly management accounts
    • Lead delivery the Annual statutory accounts in conjunction with the auditors
    • Defining, documenting and implementing internal financial processes and procedures
    • Managing external procedures including invoicing, credit control and documentation
    • Maintain accurate financial ledgers in the accounting system (Xero)
    • Ensure all VAT returns are prepared and submitted on time

    Candidate Profile

    · ICAS/ICAEW/ACCA/CIMA Qualified with significant post qualified experience

    · Experience in industry or practice, preferably in a people based business

    · Excellent communication skills, able to engage at board level both internally and externally

    · Numbers, process and procedure driven, with a strong commercial focus

    · Accomplished at managing multiple projects and multiple locations

    · Strong working knowledge of applying IFRS accounting standards

    Desired experience

    · Ideally, currently working in a people centric business (agency, legal, accountancy, architects, It/software etc), at FD level or above.

    · Experience of working directly with highly entrepreneurial founders.

    · Experience of working with Private Equity/VC and on acquisitions would be an advantage.
