    About the RoleChangan is undergoing a major transformation to electrify the powertrains of our passenger car business.

    The UK R&D Centre is at the forefront of this work to develop the future generation of electrified, connected, and intelligent powertrains.

    We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer – Power Electronics Systems Engineering to join us.

    RequirementsStrong numeracy and literacyFive to ten years experience is required and preferably some of this will be in automotiveGood logical reasoningDeep experience of Power Electronics ideally including Automotive InvertersKnowledge of power electronic devices and how they are integrated into the HV electrical systemExperience of developing hardware to meet IEC or domain specific variant, e.g.

    ISO 26262)

    Experience of specification, development and test of power electronic device such as invertersExperience of working with teams of engineers designing and testing power electronicsEvidence of achieving results through effective work against objectivesGood communication skillsDuties & ResponsibilitiesLead the capture of requirements and support the development of power electronics hardware and software traction drive and power conversion systemsLead/support the testing of power electronics hardware and softwareCapturing and analysing requirements from different stakeholdersDisseminate requirements to appropriate teams for actionSupport the development of electrical and electronics architecture for e-drive applications including HV harness and connectors schematicsPrepare/develop test plans and methodsProvide expertise for investigations and problem-solving activitiesLead the System DFMEA and support functional safety analysisEnsure compliance with relevant EMC/EMI standardsManaging the technical delivery of suppliersOther FeaturesRole based in UK with core CAUK teamOccasional travel to other CA sites including China on development trips and to visit suppliers is a requirementMust be eligible to work in the UK with permanent visa or residence (candidates requiring visa sponsorship cannot be accepted for this role) Package :
