    Overview

    As the Senior Operations Director you will be responsible for overseeing the successful implementation of large scale (1-2M sq ft) warehouse operations. This will require inspirational leadership of large teams, complex consolidation, warehouse processes and technologies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Inspirational Leadership of large teams to develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for large scale warehouse implementation.
    • Lead cross-functional teams to identify requirements, develop implementation plans, and execute projects on time and within budget.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including client, IT, operations, logistics, and finance, to align implementation efforts with business objectives.
    • Oversee the selection and deployment of warehouse management systems (WMS), automation technologies, and other tools to optimize warehouse operations.
    • Define KPIs and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of implementation initiatives, monitoring progress and making adjustments as needed.
    • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

    Qualifications

    • Proven all rounder in 3PL with experience in large scale warehouse management.
    • Able to engage senior stakeholders.
    • Change Management experience and a track record in consolidation of existing contracts.
    • European experience.
    • Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from inception to completion.
    • Deep understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfilment, and distribution processes.
    • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS)
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a results-driven mindset and a commitment to driving continuous improvement.
