    Barker Ross is delighted to be recruiting for a permanent Service Controller for one of the leading vehicles leasing companies in the UK, this role will be based at our client's head office in Milton Keynes in their established engineering maintenance team.


Our client is one of the UK's largest independent truck and trailer rental companies', specialising in contract hire, rental and leasing of heavy commercial vehicles.

The company has grown by focusing its business model on asset rental for cold storage, vans, buses, coaches, materials handling equipment and sweepers.

  • Our client is looking for enthusiastic individuals who have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, as well as a desire to succeed within an industry leading organisation. This role will keep you on your toes and has a lot of elements to it.

The Service Controller will be working with the Refrigeration and Tail Lift Fleet, they will be required to:


  • Focus on providing highquality customer service, liaising with clients, suppliers and our clients other businesses.
  • Authorising repairs and servicing on all refrigeration and tail lift equipment on trucks and trailers
  • Sourcing parts at cost effective rates from a range of suppliers
  • Updating each repair/service onto the relevant database
  • Checking that invoices match orders prior to authorisation.

What we would like from you:

  • Have previous experencie with working with fleets
  • Be a confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner
  • Have strong administrative skills
  • Be PC literate with the ability to adapt to a wide variety of tasks
  • Be empathetic with the ability to understand customer needs and requirements in challenging situations
  • Can work well under pressure

Pay & Shift:


  • Full Time
- £24,000 - £26,000For the purposes of the Conduct Regulations 2003, when advertising permanent vacancies we are acting as an Employment Agency, and when advertising temporary/contract vacancies we are acting as an Employment Business.
