    Tosupport our mission we provide a range of services to children andyoung people all of which offer nurturing safe caring and homelyenvironments where every child matters and in order to achieve thiswe must worktogether.

    Mainduties andresponsibilities:

    Conductpreventive and corrective maintenance tasks including plumbingelectrical carpentrypainting

    decoratingwindow repair PATtesting.

    Respondpromptly to emergency repairs and breakdowns minimizing disruptionto dailyoperations.

    Overseegrounds maintenance including landscaping/gardening snowremoval/gritting and minorrepairs.

    Tilingand wall plasterrepairs.

    Provideoutofhours emergency repairs and/or advice whenrequired.

    Performroutine safety checks and inspections of buildings andequipment.

    Orderand manage maintenance supplies and materials withinbudget.

    Maintainaccurate records of maintenance workperformed.

    Workcollaboratively with staff and residents to ensure their needs aremet.

    Adhereto all health and safety regulations andprocedures.

    Topreserve the confidentiality of any information regardingcolleagues service users and their families and this obligationshall continue inperpetuity.

    To recognisethat promoting the welfare and safeguarding children young peopleand adults is everyones business and access training andsupervision as appropriate to therole.

    To ensureconcerns are responded to appropriately in line with the EmpowerFamily Group s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policies andinteragency safeguardingprocedures.

    To complywith safer recruitment and other checks as requested by the companyincluding undertaking where appropriate and applicable an EnhancedDisclosure via the DBS and registering with the online updateservice if not alreadyregistered.

    The abovetasks are not an exhaustive list of duties and the post holder willbe expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by theirchanging role within the organisation and the overall businessobjectives of theorganisation.

    Thisrole is subject to the successful applicant having an enhanced DBScheck for child and adult workforce with barred list checks.

    Thispost is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 andtherefore applicants are required to declare any convictionscautions reprimands and final warnings that are not protected are not filtered out) as defined by the Rehabilitation ofOffenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (as amended in 2013&2023).

    Requirements

    Required:

    Minimum of 2 years ofexperience in a similar maintenance role.

    Desirable:

    NVQCarpentry

    Portable Appliance Testing

    18th Edition IET wiringregulations

    First Aid certificate

    Tiling

    Wall plasterrepair

    Strong problemsolving and troubleshootingskills.

    Acommitment to providing a high standard of service.

    Proven ability to workindependently and as part of a team.

    Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills.
