    Job summary

    The Clinical Engineering Department is responsible for the support and maintenance of the Trust's wide range of medical equipment. It undertakes development projects, research support, and provides a comprehensive service for the selection, purchase and management of equipment as well as interfacing medical equipment to information systems working closely with the Information Technology department. You will participate in the full range of the clinical engineering activities at the Harefield Hospital Site.

    Main duties of the job

    This is a band 5 post for experienced candidates to work as a Clinical Engineering Technologist.

    You should be:

  • Qualified or experienced to at least degree level in a technical or scientific subject
  • A skilled communicator able to deal with internal/external, technical and clinical staff
  • Highly motivated and able to work safely under pressure
  • It will be an advantage to have:

  • Experience of working in a hospital or other technical or engineering experience
  • Experience of working under an ISO 9000 quality system
  • Experience of a wide range of medical equipment
