HancoxRead Recruitment are looking for Operational Support Officer in Facilities Management Level 4 working around Sandwell surrounding areas which is ongoing into 2023.


JOB PURPOSE
To ensure the effective and efficient day to day operation of buildings and provide support to Regeneration & Growth

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Regeneration & Growth projects and service delivery as required.
  • To comply with security protocols, for the opening and closing of premises including monitoring of intruder alarms / CCTV,
  • Operate ICT and manual building related systems including access control, various intruder alarm, fire panels, air conditioning, and control of keys in an accurate and timely way.
  • Provide a courteous customer service.
  • The production of accurate and time critical, documents, spreadsheets and correspondence using relevant ICT skills as required, which support the performance of the building, such as recording of meter readings
  • To carry out minor repairs and maintenance task on request both internally & external to the building using appropriate, equipment, and materials and power tools as necessary.
  • Maintaining, monitoring and preparation of site prior to occupancy. Checking sufficient resources and monitoring supplies throughout including the setting up of furniture and a range of audiovisual equipment
  • To advise contractors, public and visitors to buildings on appropriate Health and Safety matters, including evacuation procedures
  • To monitor induct where appropriate external/internal contractors on site ensuring work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Regulations and control measures identified in the risk assessment are adhered to
  • To carry out a variety of building maintenance inspections identifying general maintenance issues, taking appropriate action, or reporting when required to Property Maintenance. Liaison with Building Surveyors as appropriate
  • Answer telephones, arrange meetings and manage diaries of designated staff.
  • Comply with the Councils financial procedures and accounting instructions.
  • Maintain an efficient filing and electronic document record system including the distribution of incoming and collection of outgoing post. Receipt and portage of goods and supplies within the premise
  • Collate statistical information and prepare appropriate returns as required.
  • To liaise with internal and external customers and other stakeholders in support of project work and to ensure I Regeneration & Growth is delivering the standard of service level required.
  • To organise and assist in the facilitation of meetings, events, and workshops.
  • To undertake such other duties as may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of the post or to assist the Council in the fulfilment of its corporate priorities commensurate with the post holder's salary, grade, abilities, and aptitude.
  • To have regard at all times for matters of health, safety and welfare, equal opportunities, and the safeguarding of vulnerable children and adults.

Working hours:


Week 1 Monday to Thursday Flexible hours to be worked between 6.30am - 2.00pm and 1:30pm on Friday Week 2 Monday to Thursday Flexible Hours to be worked between 1.30pm -9.

00pm and 8:30 pm on Friday There may also be a requirement to work additional weekendhours on an ad hoc basis

£11.02 per hour
