    Job Description

    Title - Employment Associate/Senior Associate

    PQE Range: 2-10

We've been asked by a market leading employment practice to bring in a high quality Employment Associate/Senior Associate to help take on some managerial and client responsibilities.

Highly ranked across Chambers and the Legal 500, the employment team is made up of 32 Lawyers which is one of the biggest in the city and as a result, the firm attract some market leading quality work.

You'll have access to a broad range of employment based work from employer/employee, contentious & non contentious, claimant and respondent as well as the chance to undertake high court litigation.

They don't operate strict partner teams, meaning not only will you have access to their high quality work, but also the chance to work with many Partners and fee earners who are recognised as being market leading. Whilst not only being able to access a broad range of their high quality work, you'll also be able to specialise in any areas.

They are a dynamic, progressive and entrepreneurial firm, with their lawyers expected to take a more 'hands-on' approach to their workload than in larger more process-driven firms, and therefore the successful candidate will be adept at managing their own admin and file management. Compared to some other firms, they also give lawyers much more direct client contact and relationship management responsibility.

    Role Requirements:

    • Excellent attention to detail

    • A flexible, 'can and will do' attitude

    • Strong oral and written communication skills

    • Ability to communicate clearly and in a professional manner

    • Excellent client care approach

    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage a busy workload

    • Being able to manage client and colleague expectations effectively

    • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills

    • Being able to work independently and part of a team

    • Ability to multi-task and manage sensitive documents

    • Good training and work experience

    • Strong experience in claimant or respondent work, or both. It is not a disadvantage if the candidate has focused on claimant or respondent work as in the role they will have the opportunity to learn and gain experience of the other side.

This is a genuinely fantastic opportunity for any ambitious Employment Associate/Senior Associate. Please get in touch to find out more.
